10 Dua'a to make in Ramadan

The month of Ramadan brings a calm breeze that heals the hearts of Muslims and holds in its waves a journey full of mercy and forgiveness. Muslims perform many acts of worship and obedience during the month, to be among those who are forgiven and have their prayers answered. The prophet (ﷺ) said, “Dua’a is Worship” (Bukhari), so we absolutely need to make Dua’a in Ramadan and outside the month, to be encompassed by Allah’s blessing.

Dua’a holds an endorsement of the presence of the Almighty Allah and his power. It is a form of Ibada that does not require any effort, nor any material, and it is a way to connect with your creator. You can make Dua’a anywhere, anytime, in any language and Allah will be here for you. You can aim as high as you wish with Allah, because no one can beat his power to answer your request no matter how little or big it is.

Dua’a is the essence of worship, and Allah commands us to make it to reach his mercy in life and the hereafter. Although he is aware of everything in your heart, yet he likes to hear your voice from time to time. He wants you to ask so he can reply to your requests.

You can benefit from any free time to make Dua’a - even if it was a silent prayer in your heart- and make it a habit that you perform regularly. You can also download an app that has authentic supplication from The Quran and Sunnah to remind you of performing Dua’a through a notification, or to suggest new dua’s for you.

*Especially if you are on your menstrual period, you can benefit from your time to make supplication, and get the Ajer and the answer*

Sometimes we think that our Dua’a was not answered, yet in reality, Allah gives us what is better for us. Remove any doubt that your Dua’a will not be answered, be patient and persistent. Conviction is also a must because Allah said in the Quran in Surah Ghafiir

“And Your Lord said, Call upon me, I will respond to you”
(Surah Ghafiir, Verse 60)

and in Surah Al Baqara

“And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me” (Surah Al Baqarah, Verse 186)

Allah’s promises to his servants are unbreakable, so have trust in Him.

Allah has guaranteed the answer for you in what he considers best for you, in the time He wants.

  • His no answer is an answer for your call, because he prevents a bad thing from reaching you or he removes a calamity.
  • He might not give you what you asked for in Dunya, because he wants to grant it to you as a reward in the hereafter.
  • Your Dua’a is answered at the right time.
